The smell of tomato sauce was intoxicating from the sidewalk, as we eagerly awaited our two pies, one plain and one olive. Six of us seated outside on a recent weekend evening, including three kids, could enjoy the delicious odors emanating from the kitchen. Our food arrived relatively quickly and soon found fans in the three kids. We had previously sampled the quattro formaggi pizza, which was an absolute treat (though make sure you like blue cheese), as takeout. The plain and olive pizzas were straightforward, tasty and without surprises. The sauce was ever so slightly on the sweet side, at least for my taste, but that didn't stop anyone from chowing down. Our server was lovely, pleasantly bringing condiments that had not been present on our table, as well as flatware and napkins, which nobody in our party noticed until we started to dig into the healthy portions of sauce and cheese on their offerings. The surroundings couldn't have been more charming yet accessible, with its authentic Soho pizzeria vibe, several dozen city streets north of its namesake neighborhood. It's BYOB (there's a wine shop across the street), and they serve Pepsi products (instead of Coca-Cola), if you're curious. The adults in our group agreed to come back sometime soon and maybe even order the intriguing-sounding non-pizza dishes!

This pizza is the best in the neighborhood!!! Can't wait to try other menu items soon =)

Just had a great combination I ordered at Salvatore's Sautéed spinach with grilled shrimp. I wanted to sit outside and it was perfect. The owner is a real nice guy.Staff great. It's a very popular restaurant in riverdale. Definitely recommend Salvatore's

Salvatore's of Soho is our go to neighborhood favorite restaurant! The food is amazing, delicious whether we sit in their cozy restaurant where the ambiance makes us feel like we are eating at home with family, or when we order food to be delivered! The service is amazing! The staff are friendly and I love that they remember us and always come over and say hello. I highly recommend their pizza! Sooo good! The Chicken no matter how prepared is always delicious. Everything is so fresh! Bottom line, BEST Italian food in the Neighborhood

Small corner location with that old vintage aesthetic. Tables are first come first serve. Classic great tasting pizza with great flavors. The specials are all delicious my girlfriend loves their spaghetti she can't get enough. Try the margarita pizza it's delicious.

What an amazing find today! Charming authentic restaurant. Eggplant Rollatini and white pizza are on point! I will definitely be back....probably tomorrow!!!

For Riverdale restaurants this is one to go to. Food is excellent at a very reasonable price. We ate outside and enjoyed the fresh air. We started with the antipasto which was a perfect size for one. Fresh greens, roasted peppers, cheese, cold cuts, cakes and tomatoes. A great start. I had the chicken Salvatore. Tow breast of chicken with prosciutto and portobello mushroom in a rich buttery garlic sauce. Perfect and very filling. My guest had the spaghetti and meatballs which were loaded with meatballs and a great marinara sauce with a saucer of fresh grated parmigiana cheese. Inside restaurant is small and can be crowded. Service was adequate for a crowded day.

The ambiance and service is probably the best qualities here. Seating, indoor and outdoor are both great. Our Margherita pizza was good, but I somewhat wish that I tried once of the pasta dishes. ;One of Riverdale Avenue's best restaurants
